The Elite Tray - Better for the Environment!

DMG

Updated: Dec 6, 2019

In a world of mass consumerism, it's easy to simply consume and not worry yourself with the lasting effects that follow. That is to say, we don't always do our part to ensure that we're leaving behind a better world.

Especially in the food packaging industry, it is very common to see the use of lower grade plastics, or foam, to package goods. Therefore, even if the consumer recycles these low-grade plastic trays, it gets tricky because they aren't fully recyclable plastic. This can then lead to bigger piles at our landfills, or even more plastics floating in our oceans.

Diamond Marketing Group (DMG) aims to end these packaging trends and leave a positive impact on our Earth's environment by Utilizing Environmentally-Friendly, Food Packaging Innovation.

To achieve this goal, DMG partnered with a worldwide leader in packaging and manufacturing, Klockner Pentaplast. Klockner is the creator of the most innovative food tray on the market, the Elite Tray, which is made of 100% recycled water bottles. The benefits of this unique tray are immense, from a natural high barrier, to a high performance seal that keeps food protected! Above anything though, it serves as an immediate solution to non-recyclable plastics accumulating on land and oceans.

The Process - Each Elite Tray starts as a recycled water bottle that is cleaned, and then broken down to small flakes. From there, the tiny plastic flakes are hot washed, extruded into a sheet, and finally thermoformed and ready for use. It doesn't stop there though.

After an Elite Tray is used by a consumer, the tray can then be recycled again, and repurposed as another Elite Tray. This process therefore stands as a Circular Economy, with the same recycled plastics circulating though one system, and not winding up floating in our oceans.

Keep an eye out for Elite Trays at a grocery store near you, or contact us so we can get some to you. Help us keep our planet healthy!
